Claire Saffitz Makes Holiday Rugelach Cookies | Dessert Person
Join Claire Saffitz as she puts a creative spin on traditional rugelach cookies with a recipe inspired by her time in France. Drawing inspiration from pruneaux d’Agen fourrés, a delicacy of stuffed prunes flavored with almond and port, Claire crafts rugelach with a rich prune and port filling wrapped in a tender almond pastry. While not your typical rugelach, these cookies blend Jewish baking traditions with French-inspired flavors, resulting in a festive treat that tasters have called the best rugelach they’ve ever had. Perfect for the holidays or any time you want to bake something truly special!

claire ily but felix stole the show this time.. only had eyes for him
Just yesterday I saw an older video where "Kerrygold" was bleeped out. I guess that was before they agreed to be sponsors.
Why did I hear it as prune and pork puree? 😂
Claire makes quality street chocolates!!!!
Question for you, Claire… We are a Diamond Crystal household. Most of my go to recipe sources will specify amount of salt for DK vs. Morton’s. What is your recommendation for recipes that don’t specify? Assume it’s Morton’s and double it? I’m always afraid of over-salting.
Never heard of those prunes before so ordered some haha
Please release the Felix's music theme on Spotify 😂
Claire, could I request a basic white bread recipe!? Mine comes out dense
Couldn’t start my holiday baking until I got Claire’s expertise. Perfection per usual! ✨
Beautiful! I’ll try these for sure.
Wondering, bun in the oven?
I love Felix's theme music! 😆
Claire I am begging you to make McDonald's Holiday pies. I eat as many as possible as soon as they are available and need to know your take on them
Claire is…pregnant! 🥰❤️🥰❤️
I picked up What's For Dessert on Kobo for just $2.99CAD!! I love having physical cookbooks, and I love my copy of Dessert Person in my kitchen. But having the new book on my iPad is very handy, too.
I had prunes today and quite some portions. They really are just what you describe them here.As I like them, sweet, tart, great texture, taste and I like this snack a lot.Prunes.I like them in pastries too.
LOVE
I want you to make the almond roca candies omg I love them ik you'd make them so much better
Can you make a Spanish typical cookie called "polvorón" ? We eat it during the holiday season only ✨️
Please for the love of God, disable automatic audio translation. No one ever asked for that.
…. you forgot one ingredient …. cat hair.
Is claire pregnant?😮
claire: don't use marzipan!
me: ok so I'm going to buy marzipan because in my country i wouldn't find almond paste and i want to try the recipe 🫣
“I’m just gonna free hand a circle…” Trims a perfect circle…Claire always gonna Claire! Thanks for the great cookie recipe and happy holidays!
Claire's cats are a lot like her
Is she pregnant ?
Cookie party? Those exist?
I love everything with prunes, but unfortunately, I'm allergic to almonds, so, I'll try to make it with walnuts…
This is great! I made my first batch of rugelach and I used Serious eats recipe. They were a little finicky but even the mistakes were adorable. Next time I would try using dried fruit like you did. My recipe said to just cook some jam down and use that for the fillling. Iused quince and it was good. Yours look much more consistentthan mine . Now that I've watched oyour video I know how to upgrade m rugelach next ime.
v
I would love to see a timelapse of the baking
I have been wondering this for a few videos, is Claire pregnant? I am sincerely wondering bc I haven’t seen her mention it anywhere but at 9:45 it made me think maybe she was.
I can't seem to find the recipe with the exact measurements, where is it?
Can I make those with chocolate? ^^
Wait is Claire pregnant?!!
