I saw a cat in the background. 🥰🐈⬛❤️
I love bread pudding! ❤
<3
It all looks delicious. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed week.
Don't bother using a cookie cutter. Roll dough to desired thickness and then just use a pizza cutter. Make square crackers 😊
Your sourdough recipes look great. Thanks for sharing😊
Is sourdough just a preference in flavor or is there something extra healthy about it?
I have my mom cast waffle iron from the 1930’s. And yes it makes the best waffles ever!
THANKYOU
Yall might be mild, but down here in Louisiana, we actually got snow! Like make a snowman snow! Yep, down South in Dixie we had an honest to goodness blizzard!
Chelsea, for the crackers… couldn't you use a pizza cutter and just have square crackers… so much faster or or just more efficient with your precious time. Thanks for the video!
Great recipes & yummy looking results! I’ve been inspired by other YouTube channels using sourdough discard. I had just made sourdough cheddar crackers today but the recipe has no other liquid other than the sourdough. I found it hard to roll so I scooped it out & flattened with the palm of my hand. I had also used freshly milled Spelt & Kamut grain. They are a hearty cracker. Thanks for sharing 🤗🇨🇦
The emphasis is on the ze not on pole..
ZE- pole-ay.
Love watching you bake, you make it look so easy…think my sourdough should come out of the fridge today. You've inspired me with those zepole and crackers time for baking x thank you
Regarding the crackers: ain't nobody got time for punching out rounds at that scale. Roll out the dough as thin as you desire, then use a knife or pizza wheel to divide into rectangles or squares. Might look "rustic" but they'll taste just as good. Gracious! 😅
I prefer bread and butter pudding, English style. Yum.
I love watching who is peering through your door from the deck. Yesterday a cat and today Alfred 😂
Danish whisk or dough whisk👌🏻
I’m determined to make sourdough this year I know it’s better for you I buy it but really want to make my own and all the delicious things you can make with the discard
The Siberian air came down to Chicago and the Deep South had snow!😮
That’s why you were so warm.
Loved this

No Chelsey it.s a danish whisk 😊
Looking forward to that beautiful mug, please include me in the draw.
Good to see u having fun in the kitchen and your animals give u joy and excitement
I use sourdough discard making graham crackers. They taste amazing dipped in coffee.
We had that same wood stove at my Dad’s house and all I can say is bless you for having the patience to cook on it! I tried many many times and couldn’t finesse the heat enough to cook anything other than slow cooked stews. I really do miss the top warming cupboard, and you’re absolutely right about the coziness though. ❤
i bet if you spread cream cheese out on a saucer or small plate and then spread a little red pepper jelly over that…those crackers would a perfect combination for a snack idea. mmm
Let Alfred in! 🤣
Sourdough discard crackers are so tasty! I recently found a very simple recipe online. Per every 200g of starter you add 2 tbsp melted butter and mix. Add a little salt and whatever other seasonings you like to the batter. Spread thin on a parchment lined baking sheet, top with salt and bake at 325 for 30-60 minutes. I just broke them up when they were ready. I thought they tasted like cheese it crackers! Next time I may add either grated cheese or nutritional yeast.
I've finally caught up! Have been binging the last 2yrs of videos and I'm so excited to be current now lol. Perfect timing for a giveaway ❤
It's most commonly known as a Danish Dough Whisk.
I thought that lemon juice (or vinegar) in milk was a substitute for buttermilk. I didn't know you could use it for a substitute for ricotta, too! So exciting to learn that!!!
Your Zeppole's remind me of the Greek dish: Loukoumades. My favorite way to have them is to dunk them into a honey syrup (similar to what you make for Balkava) right after you fry them, then put them onto a plate and sprinkle walnuts!!!! SO GOOD
You can use your pasta roller to get a thinner cracker. Soooo, much easier. 😉❤❤❤
In the Netherlands we eat 'oliebollen' on new years eve. They look like the deep fried balls you made, bigger though and with a very simple yeast or sourdough batter (flour, water, yeast or sourdough starter, salt., sometimes with raisins or pieces of apples which are the best!)
they are deep fried after a couple of hours. the same what you did, you eat them freshly baked and sprinkled with powder sugar too.
You always inspire me, thank you!❤
Love this video. Thank you for sharing it. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful day. 💗💗
I love the little warming oven on the top part of the wood stove! How clever. Antiques are the best!
I like how your chicken at 14:20 is at the window going “whatcha cooking” 👀
Love these ideas, I use the sourdough discard in corndog batter, which is basically a Korean corndog. My family and kids love it. Once you make Korean corndogs with the cheese filling and potatoes, it's hard to go back to the American style though.
❤❤🙏🙏xxoo
