From Lahaina Maui, respresenting Kaiāulu Initiatives we welcome Shannon K. I’i to the Cooking Hawaiian Style kitchen. Her organizationʻs mission is to rebuild Lahainaʻs landscape by creating a thriving watershed that supports and sustains both the environment and the community for generations to come. Great work Shannon! Shannon says she chose to share this dish because it reminds her of her grandmother. She made so many cool treats but this was by far her favorite and most easy to make. This was her grandmothers go to potluck dish for every church event she attended. When Shannon realized it had cottage cheese in it she thought she wouldnʻt like it but when it was finished and she got to lick the spoon she absolutely loved it!
