My Favorite Snack Mix

My Favorite Snack Mix
[Applause] [Music] That is just one box of corn checks mix. I’ve got my Cheezits, my salted peanuts, and some pretzels. So, we’re going to toss this together until this is combined. Making sure to get it all mixed up. I’ve got my board. I’m going to set it right here. I melted 3 and 34 sticks of butter. And to that, I have some brown sugar. For this snack mix, I like it to be sweet and salty, but you can leave the brown sugar out if you just want a savory one. I have some rosemary and some thyme. I have some sage, some garlic powder, paprika, and some salt. I love making this ahead of time. It keeps really well. It’s great to have around if you’re going to have company or have a party. And it it is just delicious. It disappears every time I make it. So, all we do is we whisk that together until we’ve got that combined. And I think that looks good. And then we’re just going to pour this right over our snack mix. If there’s an herb that you don’t like that I use, you can switch it out. If there’s something else besides what I put in this, let me know. I would love to mix this up and try some different ingredients also. But this is my favorite ingredients for a snack mix. So, I’m just going to make sure I get all of that out. Boy, does that smell good. And we’re going to go back in and just kind of mix this together one last time. Over to this side, I have my sheetpan. And I’ll be using a couple sheet pans, but we are just going to add our snack mix to our sheetpan in a single layer. We’re going to bake this at 250° for about an hour. And you definitely want to toss halfway through. And I cannot wait for you to see how this turns out. My favorite snack mix is done. And I did let it cool just a little bit, but it makes a nice amount. You definitely could cut this down to whatever size you want. So, I’m just going to take a scoop of this for me. Bring it over to my plate. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, my husband’s stealing already. It’s fine. Okay. Get a little bit of everything. All right. My favorite snack mix. Okay. Okay. I promise you, you’re going to love this snack mix. Please let me know if you make it and send me a picture. Yum.

  1. Here’s a “rough copy” of the recipe on the back of the corn Chex box. This one does not have brown sugar, sage, rosemary, thyme, etc but it’s enough to get you started.

    3 cups corn Chex cereal
    3 cups rice Chex cereal
    3 cups wheat Chex cereal
    1 cup salted peanuts
    1 cup bite-size pretzels
1 cup bite-size garlic or onion bagel chips (Or it says regular bagel chips broken into bite size pieces)
    6 tablespoons butter, melted
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    3/4 teaspoons garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder

I would say all of these measurements are according to your preference. It’s just a guide; add more or less of anything.
    Enjoy!😊

  2. Baby, this is too expensive. 😂 I love the recipe though. I had Chex mix for the first time in my entire life this year, and it was amazing. I had the bold flavored one. So now I'm all into this. I'm definitely making this for the holidays! ❤ I bet it makes the kitchen smell wonderful.
