it is Friday October 18th it is a gigantic day for all of us here at Fox and Friends we are delighted you would join us that is exactly right because in two hours former president Donald Trump is going to join us right here on the curvy couch so we’re going to sit him down in the middle in between Steve it actually says Kirby couch it it says couch I know we’re going to ask him a range of questions including some of your viewer questions some are really serious and some are really cute and sweet and funny that’s right and and yesterday when we asked we solicited uh video questions from you we got over 2,000 stick around to find out if we picked yours and Lawrence had some cute and fun wies too yeah just just a few and we will be uh we will start by asking the former president about last night’s 79th annual Al Smith dinner in New York City he stole the show as VP comma Harris was not there but I was that is the big story it was a huge night with JS the DS and a lot of laughs it’s a true pleasure to be with you this evening amazing pleasure and uh these days it’s uh really a pleasure anywhere in New York without a subpoena for my appearance that’s good so comedian Jim Gaffin kicked off the bipartisan charity event and roasted our very own Brian kilman let’s be honest this entire room is filled with some of the most powerful people in New York City and Brian kill me remember Brian I told you Brian and I started doing standup together so we’re friends hopefully now that’s funny Bri I didn’t think all knew each other I know him a little bit but uh I think he just took a a page from Gutfeld I mean it’s the same same type you me I just saw him before he goes oh hope you don’t mind I’m going to make a joke about you oh he warned you oh yeah oh there you are right there you’re like no you’re the president the presidents are supposed to roast each other wait serious Brian you’ve got your white uh white tails there or white tie what time is it St the presidents vote as I should be as I should be but I don’t think Kamala has given up yet she hasn’t instead of attending tonight she’s in Michigan receiving communion from and it’s very important to always remember you should never let anyone tell you who you are you tell them who you are well see had she been there had they done that in person you could have heard the laughter but it was just video so owns the Jets you’re sitting next to the owner of the Giants Robert Craft all the former mayors of New York it was like wow this is such a big deal she is missing an opportunity yeah political Elite Business Leaders and Catholic luminaries uh KLA Harris uh is the first candidate to miss since Walter Mondale in 1992 however and I did not know this fact I saw this this morning no presidential candidate showed up in 1992 1996 or 204 well and the president president did President Trump did um make a reference to that he said well you know Mandel he was expected to do well it didn’t work out it shows you there is a God and he kind of referenced remember when he was like um I wouldn’t miss this for the world because I kind of need the man upstairs in my corner you know right so Jim Gavin was fantastic he’s I always thought he was one of the funniest comedians around and um here we go here’s a little if you missed it here’s gavagan just uh being a equal opportunity offender you know looking at this impressive Bas of attendees up here I never know how to address you people do you prefer you know Global Elite or Coastal Elite you know you’re all thinking about it let me just cut to group that baffles me and I think it baffles most everyone in this country and I’m talking about the undecided voter are you kidding me I mean are you kidding me you don’t know who you’re voting for you don’t see a difference between KLA Harris and Donald Trump like nobody has ever thought wait is that a trump quote or a Harris quote this is a room full of Catholics and Jews in New York City this is a layup for the Democratic nominee I mean in her defense I mean she did find time to appear on The View Howard Stern coar and the longtime staple of campaigning the call her daddy podcast President Biden couldn’t be here tonight the DNC made sure of that $10 million is is pretty impressive you know what I mean I mean granted it could get you a studio apartment in Manhattan which seems you know thanks for having me you know when it’s good to have you you know when we talk about uh the balance of power that is important because let’s let’s just say let’s blue sky this if KLA Harris wins and uh if she’s got unified Congress where she the Democrats have the house and the Senate she can pretty much do anything she wants but if the Republicans hold one or two of the houses suddenly she’s got a dirt road I can’t own an EV which is is strange to me because as we saw during the Hurricanes um saltwater and EVS don’t mix but apparently according to Alissa slotkin dirt roads and Eevees don’t mix either you know I’ve Got a Feeling if uh Elon Musk was watching the TV and saw that ad he go wait a minute what uh they’re they’re fine on dirt roads you know what uh Kyle speaking of TV ads when every swing state has got a different bouquet of TV ads what what are the main themes that you guys are seeing there in Michigan well EVs and and China and Chinese companies are a major issue um the the Rogers campaign and outside groups are talking about how Alissa slotkin signed a non-disclosure agreement to learn the secrets of a a Chinese battery maker called Goan and then basically keep those secrets from Michigan taxpayers and that’s not going over very well and that’s another issue where she’s on defense and so what we’re seeing is uh as the the largest uh car maker in the United
