► 2 Tbsp olive oil
► 1 lb button mushrooms, thickly sliced
► 1 medium onion, finely chopped
► 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
For the Creamy Sauce:
► 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
► 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
► 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
► 1 Tbsp lemon juice
► 2 cups half-and-half (or equal parts milk and heavy cream)
► 1 1/2 tsp sea salt, plus more to taste
► 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
► 1/4 cup chopped parsley, plus more for garnish

I haven't personally tried it yet, but I heard if you have a minimum of a two wick candle burning by where you are cutting onions that it will keep your eyes from watering. 😢🤔

Do you have a good recipe for pickled cow's tongue. I don't want to use the pre-mixed pickling spices, I prefer to have the ingredients' meaurements, including the spices, I had my mom's recipe but am unable to locate it now.
I was told to use pickled pig's feet recipe to know how much spice to add; however, when I found several recipes, they all mentioned pickling spice, not the individual spices and amounts like my mom's recipe had.
The only way I know of to have it come out the same in flavor, is to add the specific spices.
