Trying Cheez-it Pizza – Stupid concept or does it work? #cheezit #pizza #foodreview #pizzalover

Today we’re trying CheeIt pizza. I got this two pack from BJ’s for $13.99. My son has been begging to try this, so we’re going to give it a shot. This is an Italian four cheese pizza on a Cheeit flavored cracker thin crust. The cheese is whole milk mozzarella, yellow cheddar, parm, and romano. I have to say the crust does resemble a giant Cheeit. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 450° on the center rack. I’m using my Uni Volt. I know my son’s going to say this is burnt, but it’s not burnt. There’s two kinds of people in this world. The kind that say this is cooked perfectly and the other kind that are wrong. This is indeed a cracker thin crust. And like a Cheeit, it’s very dry. In my opinion, it should be crispier, but it has a thin damp cardboard consistency. But I will say it tastes just like a Cheeit. I don’t know about the crasso. It looks burnt. The yellow cheddar cheese is the dominant flavor, and I guess that makes sense given what it is. The sauce is hardly evident. I think it needs double or triple what it has on it. I personally don’t think this concept works, but if your kids like Cheezits, they might like this. You like it? I love it. It’s eight. It’s an eight. Mhm. For me, it’s a 52.

  1. I agree that the outer crust is burned. But the middle looks great. My rule of thumb is that if the cheese no longer stretches even when hot (i.e. it doesn't congeal between two cut slices), it's burned. But anyhow, this does seem like an ok flavor combo. Damp cardboard is honestly how the Taco Bell giant cheez it tasted a few months back.
