Sorry Alvin, but the choice of meat already disqualifies the tonkatsu. I understand that it's hard to get anything but pork filet but this is a essential thing and does a huge differance in taste.

man how far has babish fallen off. the package in the movie says its a miso katsu don so doing a tonkatsu sauce is completely different than what was in the movie. i thought there was more proper research involved in making these. welp go have fun trying all 100 types of kitkats or whatever sponsored product is next

Why people commenting bad about Kimi no na wa Movie and because of its producer? Yes the producer is a evil but he has nothing to do with movie's plot story, or Directing or Art style or drawing or designing.

I love Alvin giving us the leftovers, and his job was done with the fried rice and then he CONTINUED?! Excellent. TBH I would watch "Leftovers with Alvin" or "After Thoughts with Alvin" as its own thing.

I never thought that Japan had their version of the "schabowy" down to the same sides and a pickled vegetable for variety.
I think the cabbage is of the wrong variety. Those used might have a tinge of bitterness to them.
The best part of Alvin's videos is that he always shares his food with the rest of the team and ensures people bring food home. Also that he makes additional food from leftovers. Sometimes it's leftovers that I pay more attention to.

Apart from the fact that the lunch box is too big, this is almost the same as the tonkatsu bento from "Your Name."
The bento in the story is called an ekiben, which is for eating on trains and is designed to be tasty even when cold.
I used the leftover sauce to make fried rice and twice-cooked pork, but in reality you would use a commercially available bottled sauce so you wouldn't have any left over.
Makes me want to have tonkatsu for lunch tomorrow.
