Also known as shredded honey and chilli garlic chicken, crispy honey and garlic chicken is one out our favourites and compared to many recipes on a Chinese menu, this one most people have the ingredients for at home, the only hard to find ingredient is potato starch, but corn flour works well as a replacement. Like we said in the video there are another 2 main ways of doing this, so if you’d like to see them, make sure you comment!
Ingredients
The Chicken
1 chicken breast
6 heaped tbsp potato starch
1/2 tsp MSG
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
1 egg white
Enough vegetable oil to deep fry in
The finishing
2 tbsp rehydrated garlic granules
1/3 tsp salt
1/3 tsp MSG
100ml water
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 sweet chilli pepper
3 heaped tbsp honey
2 tbsp white vinegar
potato starch slurry
2 tbsp vegetable oil
