“FOUR Easy to Make, Cozy Soup Recipes | So Delicious!” üzerine 50 yorum

  1. This is so perfectly timed! I just got a 23qrt presto canner imported to the UK from the US (So much cheaper!). I also got that same Ball book.

Going to start with just beans and potatoes but it would be nice to do some meat soups in jars to free up some space in the freezer.

I currently do water bath canning with tomatoes, jams, pickles and chutneys.

I also want to start canning veg stock first too to free up space in the freezer. Bit nervous about canning meat in jars. Does light affect the colour of the food?

Hoping to build up my stock of jar with lids/ rings this year as i test and practise on how to use it and the basics. Can i use jars with a wax pop lid jar in the meantime? These will be for short term use on the shelf. ie max 6 months until we have enough funds for the proper jars.

Hope you are feeling better Chelsea and Happy New Year!

  2. Glad you are better. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and will have a great New Year. Great video. I love soups anytime of the year, but especially in winter or not feeling well. I am looking to bulk up my pantry with meals in jars and soups for quick meals and lunches. I work full time outside of the home, and my schedule varies from day to day and week to week. It is never the same. Trying to kick totally kick the fast food diet. It quickly packs on the pounds. Even restaurant foods pack on the pounds. I am capable of making anything I would buy. Thanks again for sharing this video. Possibilities abound.

  3. Happy New Year! I'm so glad you're feeling better. Just wanted to mention that poppy seeds need a cold period before planting in order to bloom…just like spring bulbs. If you plant them in the spring they may not come up. When your seeds come, put them jn the fridge for a few weeks prior to planting. I'm sure they'll look awesome.

  4. Those soups look so yum my boys hate soup I’m the only only one who eats it so for me I really can’t be bothered cooking soup for one but I wish I was there to have some I make home made bread nearly daily I’m saving up to get one of those mixers from Sweden they now ship to Australia which is exciting for me as I have to make bread by hand and with my bad shoulder it isn’t fun but love the taste of home made bread

  5. My blended family has a lot holiday commitments and visit my home last. By then they've eaten a lot, so a few years ago I started having soups and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. I usually fix a vegetable beef soup and an Italian sausage soup. I make big batches so they can take home leftovers. I think everyone appreciates the change of pace.
