All fine. You should NOT use Matta rice. It should be Chemba Pacharisi.

A small correction. In kerala, we make aravana Payasam using Chamba pachari and not the matta rice. Matta rice is boiled rice and so for neivedyam, it is not recommended or used. Always, aravana Payasam is made using raw rice and not boiled rice according to me.
Happy Pongal to all. Sir, aravana payasam is made with 'kuthari' which raw red rice, not the parboiled type. Please mention that.
