  1. My mother used to make our own sauerkraut. She also did the same thing with runner beans "saure Fitschbohnen".
    Sometimes, things would go wrong and we'd hear an "explosion" from the cellar when one of her jars would explode.
    She did a lot of "eingemachtes". Happy childhood memories.
