Spam musubi is a staple in Hawaiian cuisine. You can find it practically anywhere – convenience stores, grocery stores and restaurants!

Here’s a really simple recipe to make this at home, with only a few ingredients too! It’s a great snack, packs well and is great on the go.

  1. When I first went to Japan to study, I couldnt bear the smell of seaweed and fish. But when I left a year later, I loved it and ate it all the time! I could never stand the smell of sardines and the sight of them made me gag, but when I treked up to Anapurrna base camp and ran out of food, a can of sardines was all I had left! I was so exhausted and so hungry! That can of sardines smelled wonderful and tasted delicious! I ate them all up and never tasted anything more delicious in my life! So I think our body adapts when it needs to and our taste can radically change with the situations and environments! I was so shocked and surprised at that after I had sworn up and down I would never eat sardines!
