  1. You can make ghee at home fairly easily. When you boil whole full fat milk (not the skimmed crap), you'll get a nice thick fat layer. Take this out and store it in the freezer. Keep collecting the layer each time you boil milk and once you get a good enough amount, mix it with some curd (milk + vinegar + warmth overnight) and let it sit for a while so it curdles. I've never added curd though so it works either way.
    Now put this in a thick (really thick) bottomed saucepan and boil it down on low to medium heat. High heat will burn it. When all the milk solids and cream layers are melted away, you'll get a ridiculously aromatic batch of fresh ghee. The caked residue at the bottom of the pan is also edible. Mix it with powdered sugar and enjoy!
