Meals look different for us throughout the winter months. We make meals off of main staples we keep on hand with a lot less fresh fruits and veggies. We have a few handful of our favorites that we frequently rotate through to share with you all.
Our meals are simple and easy which works perfectly for us on busy days. We slowly try new foods and cooking techniques as we are definitely not chefs – but sometimes it is fun to try.

It looks like you guys were making burritos the tacos are hard shell or fryed U shape corn tortillas and burritos are wrapped around tortillas. Enjoy your meal. Bon appétit.
Lori, looks like you are a great cook! Everything looked delicious. Love that Rowen gets what you are having
All the meals looked really good! I was wondering about the leftovers, do you have those for lunches or second evening meal?
That steak looks pretty yummy. Squash too.
Lori, I cut my acorn squash in half, take seeds out, drizzle olive oil and butter in center with s&p, sometimes cinnamon and bake. No peeling, scoop it out in chunks or mash. Your squash are nice and big. Steak looks delicious. Does grouse taste like chicken? i love salmon with dill on it. So many versions of lasagna, and yours looks great. Tacos look good too. You are in the middle of no where and are making delicious, healthy meals for your family. Nice video!!
You should get an ulu we got one when we visited Alaska years ago n love it.. yummy looking foods❤

Thank you for sharing your meal plans, very organic!!!
Impressed on how much you've accomplished in the time I've started watching.
This was such an interesting and fun video. The meals looked really good, fresh and healthy. I am enjoying your channel very much. Thanks for sharing your life.
Lori, just a quick easy recipe you might like for salmon, put in a frying pay with a little oil, and put salmon skin side down, place slices on butter on top of each filet, then sprinkle dry Italian salad dressing mix over it pretty liberal, let it cook until you see it's only about 1/4 inch from being cooked through, flip each filet over into the yummy butter sauce that has melted off and let it cook only about 3 minutes to finish it off and flip it back over, and serve. Skin is actually pretty good as it's gotten crispy during the frying. But if you don't like it, it comes off very easy.
Was nice getting two video's this week. Thanks for taking us along on your week of meals.
Onions make me cry too. Great video, enjoyed this a lot 😁❤️
10:50 what is that against the wall? Can't decide if it's a branchy burl or a burly branch, or if I'm just seeing things😵💫
Anywho… I just love sticks (and stones)🤩😆
I loved this video – seeing what a weekly meal looks like. So pleased to see Rowan eating the same meals as yourselves. She’s such a happy baby ❤️Healthy, simple meals. We got spoilt this week – 2 videos. Thanks for sharing. 🇦🇺 fan
Can you make a video of youre grocery haul😊
Nice job on the meal preps. They all looked delicious. Love your channel 🥰
Do you save seeds out of veg to plant like the Acorn squash our any kind of squash or Zucchini that can be saved over the two months or canned
You could build a green house to plant stuff like turn ups radishes beets carrots squash cucumbers zucchini peppers tomatoes things like that in the greenhouse that take warm hot weather that you have you can stay early & that needs a little bet of a longer growing season also potato Broccoli cauliflower
Food looked delicious x x and a very cute baby x x ❤
Love love love ❤️ ❤
I really like your show. Y’all do a lot of canning & butchering of animals so there is sharp knives. Glass jars that could cut her. That little girl could get to. She goes to be crawling if not all really. For the safety baby girl and gets bigger Y’all could put like half wall on the side of the kitchen where the stairs go up to the bedroom to keep the sweet ❤baby girl out of the kitchen while you’re cooking. The other side you can put a gate so you can go in and out. I know how it is when your cooking. But when your canning she doesn’t need to any where near the kitchen. Even though I know you’re very wonderful caring parents & but a accidents can happen in a matter of minutes and you live so far out. She will learn to play with herself maybe get her some learning toys like the being number & abc blocks or toys to start teaching her schooling even though she’s young is never to young
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👋
Great video
You all are doing some good eatin'!
Great video Lori, that lasagna dish looked soooo good ! I've never had moose , so I'll take your word on that !! hahah. Rowan is adorable !
Lori put a toothpick in your mouth while chopping onions. You will not be crying. I learned this a long time ago. I really enjoyed watching the meal preps for daily use 👏👏👏👏👏. Baby girl sure is growing fast
you guys. should cook more on your wood stove
Ok. Rowan(not sure of spelling) is my absolute favorite..lol
It all looked so good, Lori. Rowan is just too cute! Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your videos.
now thats how you cook proper chips ,lovely colour and crispy, i always cook mine in lard and in the chip pan xx
Why don’t you all keep seeds to grow your own acorn squash
we use sprouts and micro greens for a fresh taste in winter. yogurt is very versatile, breakfast and sour cream, ect. You guys do great. it is a learning curve.
I’ve never had acorn squash need to try, do you ever stuff it? Would be good
Great video Lori! I cooked like that everyday for 20 years while my kids were growing up. They loved goulash(MN)
Loved the video
Enjoyed your video on the new site "Remote Life Unscripted". Hope this means we'll get to see even more videos!
Loved your video
That's what we do too!
Enjoyed your video. Also enjoyed the video on your unscripted channel. Why not just post those on this channel as vlogs or shorts?
You could mix a little water on your tomato sauce to get all the sauce out for your lasagna.
Great video, all your dishes looked delicious! The grouse meat was different for sure. Does it taste like chicken? Have a great week.
