Ingredients
½ cup vegetable oil
½ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 (2 ½ pound) flank steaks
Directions
1. Combine oil, soy sauce, water, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until combined.
2. Cut shallow slashes in a crosshatch pattern on both sides of the steak, being careful not to cut all the way through.
3. Place steak in a low, flat dish and pour marinade on top, covering meat completely. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, or overnight, turning steak over once.
4. Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven’s broiler. Remove steak from the marinade and place on a baking pan. Reserve marinade.
5. Broil, brushing occasionally with marinade, until browned and heated through, about 5 minutes per side. Remove steak to a platter and cover loosely with foil. Let rest for at least 5 minutes. Slice into 1- to 2-inch strips across the grain.

Is this live
Nope
1/2 cup in Frank’s world is 3 1/2 cups
One day I am going to follow one of these videos and cook these recipes as Frank does.
Frank has never put a video where he isn’t cracking open a new seasoning. It’s impressive.
you need to learn how to use a wisk Tank!
Not the squarlic 😦
Are you salt in a old fashioned ham
Watch out with that knife Frank, eh? Looks good!
Frank the yank!!
No Lemon Pepper ?????…………………Mind Blown 🤯🤯
Accurate measuring… everyone knows the rules.
If you drop that much oil on the grill bring the fire extinguisher haha
Immediately uses the wrong oil
It's a broiled Frank steak
I’m always enthralled, thank you tank!
If you are marinating the steak you don't need the extra seasoning Accent 😜
They sell excellent boil-in-the-bag vegetables that don't need 4 hours of marinade.
looks edible for once, even the potatoes
What was in the brown sugar container? Dog biscuits?
this may be the best thing ever cooked on tank cooks. prime rib came out great
Damn Frank, cooked a nice perfect medium. I've never cooked a steak under broilers directly like that… gonna give this a try, cause that's pretty hassle free. I'm usually a reverse-sear guy on the stove top.
@1:22 – USE THE SAME MEASURING CUP! IT'LL HAVE THE SAME INGREDIENTS REGARDLESS!
@1:37 – Volume versus weight, Frank…
@1:46 – Holy shit, you figured it out.
@ 3:59 – Stop making an unecessary mess with what is NOT fresh ginger…
@4:18 – THAT IS LIKE 6 TO 8 CLOVES' WORTH OF GARLIC!
@ 7:11 – Bottom of that dish is now contaminated with raw meat juices…
@8:08 – Sounds like your refrigerator tray also now has raw meat juices on it…
@11:43 – Can we get a calorie count for this plate?
Good call on the olive oil instead of vegetable oil, Frankie.
Frank using low sodium soy sauce is why he’s the best.
It kind of looks like Frank knew how to pound that soy sauce bottle up and down to get that soy sauce out.. 🤔😂
The amount of surfaces touched without washing his hands after handling that raw flank steak… I just can't with this 😂….
Follow the recipes people send you. Stop over doing the measurements and adding your own combo of seasonings.
This is some of Frank’s best work
Really nice dish Frank ,perfect balance of ingredients. Your kitchen skills improve every episode.
