Hey John…………………..I like these vids …………………… I got two youngish kids with big appetites and they are going to love these on the days my wife can't cook (needed some new recipes) so please do more of these…………your a LEGEND.
So stirring with that 'flatula' is flatulence then?
This was fantastic!! REAL meals for REAL families. I think your one step chicken noodle soup was so refreshing and honest. Sometimes a person just has to eat! 😅
BTW – chicken thighs ALWAYS! 👍
I am time poor and have 2 moderately fussy kids. I think they'll enjoy some of these one pots though. I'm looking forward to testing them out when school starts again next week and hopefully adding a few more dishes to the "approved" list. Thank you Chef John and Happy New Year
That’s correct: melon seeds
My mom used to call the mix of macaroni, hamburger and tomato, "Goulash". To avoid confusion, I call it "cheeseburger mac"…
What brand of stove do you have?
the process of using the flatula is of course, called flatulating.💨💨💨😂
“You People “ – as a subscriber, not a very feel good way to be referred to! 👎🏻👎🏻
American Goulash, not to be confused with American Chop Suey, the New England favorite. Very different dishes, both delicious!
My mom taught me the Goulash meal so I would not starve….This is a really good video today. Happy New Year Chef John..
Absolutely great, perfect timing. 5⭐
does anyone know what brand the pan with the blue handle is?
Grass fed beef. Watch out for PFAS. Forever chemicals.
> secret ingredient > soy sauce. I got another umami bomb secret ingredient for beef stews of all kinds: anchovies, blitzed with an immersion blender in your chicken broth/water. Got the idea from J Kenji Lopez Alt in his "really good beef stew"
Eh cheese is an oficial condiment.
Awesome – a Biletnikoff reference! Those were the days…
I never do not think "gulag" when i hear goulash.
I made the chicken and sausage orzo tonight. I managed to get a little orzo stuck to the bottom of the pot, but otherwise went great. Very tasty.
"Who are you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes??" 😂
I make the chicken sausage orzo about once a week. It's so good.
I love all of your recipes! Thank you so much for showing me how to make such tasty food. I don't buy frozen dinners anymore yay!
I thought dish 1 was fajitas. That's what I make for a one skillet meal solution with some of these ingredients. The second one I though would be a standard beefy noodle from scratch. That's something that I do. If you add sour cream and mustard to beef noodle, it runs into a decent stroganoff instead. The Chicken and Sausage with Rice looks interesting. I was thinking about doing my own version of this with a mushroom sauce and bratwurst. Chicken Noodle Soup is great, though I find I like Chicken and Dumplings better. It takes mostly the same ingredients plus heavy cream and flour. Dumplings can be made by just kneeding water with flour and salt, cut and dropped into the soup. Yum! Goulash is a thing that I haven't made in a REALLY long time. I think I probably will next month. But then again, Chili Mac is tempting too. ☺☺☺☺
I have 3 flatula's in my big utensil jar, because they are THE most used in my kitchen and I need backups for my backups! Thanks for the one pot ideas, looking forward to more of them for sure. Also, I think it might be a crime to use high end expensive hamburger in good old cheap goulash. Just sayin 😉
I have never been successful at making the Stroganoff. Every time I get to the part where the mushrooms are beautiful, I eat them.
Id say, for the first one, add a cup of sweet corn. with juice,
I need to buy a flatula. I am working towards a well stocked kitchen.
