Today, Molly shows us how to make her Turmeric Coconut Tea Cake. Can you say that 10 times really fast?!?! Not only is this cake easy as hell, but it’s also one of her yummiest desserts – perfectly moist and sweet, and as delicious on it’s own as with some honey, butter, tea, or whatever you want to have with it! Instead of being a classic layered coconut cake (which we still love obvi), Molly makes the batter, pours it all into a loaf pan, and simply takes it out. No assembly required.

INGREEEEEDZZZ:

PANTRY
1½ cups (198 g) all-purpose flour
½ cup (77 g) cornmeal or semolina
2 ½ tsp ground turmeric
1 ½ tsp kosher salt
1½ tsp baking powder
¾ cup virgin coconut oil, melted
1 ¼ cups (267g) sugar
1 cup full-fat coconut milk
1 cup coconut flakes or shreds (or a mix of both)
Unsalted butter and honey, for serving (optional)

DAIRY
2 large eggs
