These have always been a favorite of mine, and very easy and fast to make even you have unexpected company. Growing up in Romania, my Mon would make them for us all the time. They are called Minciunele or Gireghele!
I had a family recipe for klyna that was lost to time. I think this is it from memories of making them when I was a child. My Grandma also used lemon juice in her recipe. Thank You for this episode. I could never resist Grandma's cooking. You definitely can't eat just one.
Lithuanian called krupkis. English “bow ties”. Love them. Dusts with powdered sugar ❤. I prefer them thicker, more to it than just “crunch”
Oh my goodness….one of my favorites 😋🥰
Just seen you sharks
Wonderful! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your whole family. Thank you for being so generous as to share your knowledge, skills, and entertaining personality!
I love you mom
I'm much prefer ribbon cookies because Angel cookies sounds so cannibalistic😢
Those cookies looks delicious, I wish you Happy Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family, I need t to look up this recipe
Something new for me…Yay Natasha!
به فارسی ترجمه بفرمایید سپاسگزارم ؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
How do you store these if not eating same day? Hope to try these!
My husband's family is Lithuanian, and his grandmother called them Osookie"s. Love seeing you make these as we were making them just by a recipe and my MIL's memory of watching her MIL make them.
Wow ….I love these….. we always have these for Ukrainian Christmas and Easter and in between also… When I was growing up my mom and aunt used to make hundreds of them everybody used to ask them to make for showers or some church things and I used to help them they would make 200 to 300 and my job was to form them into wings.
what kind of oil? Peanut?
Can you make butchys with poppyseed or prune? I would like to see a recipie on that. These are a bohemian biscuit.😊
Sharkey was on the pot handle
My husbands' mother used to make ones similar to this and they were to die for. I am not good at working with dough but you make it look so easy, I may give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
Son muy parecidos a los Calzones Rotos en Chile!!
Lovely 💖Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
That looks amazing ty Natasha for sharing ❤💚🤍😊😊😊❤️💚🤍and merry Christmas to you and family 🎄🎄🎄🤍💚❤️🙏
In my house, we call them Hvorost ( Хворост).❤
Thank you, Natasha.
Marry Christmas 🎄 to you all!
❤ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Natasha to you and your family & have a wonderful holiday
Lol hide them❤
Really adorable and gorgeous cookies for Christmas !!!🍰✨❄️🎄
I just watched an old episode of Martha Stewart's show. She was making these cookies with her mother. She was frying her cookies in a 5 quart Dutch oven. I was thinking who wants to deal with that much grease. It didn't occur to me that I could use a smaller pan to fry them in. Thanks for the tip.
These look delicious! Also I never realized you don’t pronounce the “g” at the end of long
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All is good but the otherwise beautiful hair falling in to the food
Lost my enthusiasm for these at the “Kneading directive”
We call them crofoni/krofoni.
Looks delicious!!💛🥰😋
Hi Natasha from Akron, Ohio!! I love these cookies!! I agree with you, they don’t stay around!! I seen sharky!! He was on your counter where your cookie sheet was when you were frying the cookies!! Merry Christmas,🎄
Looks good but to greasy and that to much oil …
We call them ciurigai in Romanian. Who knew they're in so many cultures?! I guess who doesnt like a sweet fried dough!
Thanks Natasha, this was a lost recipe that my Mother and Aunt used to make. Ours was an Italian cookie, slight variation from your recipe. We made them as bow ties.
The shark head was on the handle of the pot on the stove. 😊
