good evening I’m Brett Bear we are coming to you live tonight from Fox election headquarters in New York Republicans are celebrating what appears to be a political Trifecta tonight former president Donald Trump fought off a host of allegations and slurs a criminal conviction on dozens of felon accounts and two impeachments two assassination attempts as well to reclaim the White House the now president-elect ran away uh late with the Electoral College tally and as a now is winning the national popular vote Republicans have captured the majority in the Senate and the House GOP appears poised to maintain control of that chamber it’s a stunning loss for Democrats it’s being characterized by many as a rejection of the Biden Harris administration’s economic social and immigration policies and frankly a rejection specifically of the nominee vice president kamla Harris We Begin tonight with one of the most significant political comebacks in history senior National correspondent Aisha hosne is with the Trump campaign in West Palm Beach Florida good evening Aisha Bri good evening to you the president elect received a phone call today from vice president kamla Harris who congratulated him and talked about the peaceful transition of power other than that it’s been a pretty quiet day here in maral Lago two sources are telling me that the president will president-elect will not be making any announcements about his cabinet positions or even his chief of staff today as he takes in what has been a long fought Victory a new image tonight shows president-elect Trump taking in a quiet moment to fix his tie before taking the stage in West Palm Beach to declare Victory this will truly be the Golden Age of America the 47th president is celebrating his Landslide win powered by his strength on the economy and immigration the top two issues for voters I was a historic realignment uniting citizens of all backgrounds around a common core of Common Sense this time Trump built a bigger Coalition in part by registering new voters who don’t normally turn out in key Battleground States He also targeted traditional democratic voting blocks disillusioned by the left according to Fox News voter analysis Trump made large gains amongst Hispanic black and young voters all up from 2020 and he doubled his support from men while fewer women went for vice president kamla Harris than President Biden in 2020 Donald Trump reached out to those voters he went on alternative platforms uh he went to the National Association of black journalists he did events in downtown Philadelphia downtown New York uh he went to the Bronx he went to uh Chicago he went to Atlanta Trump swept the blue wall States and with bold stops like his Madison Square Garden rally he even made double- digigit gains in solid blue States like New York where he took 45% of Jewish voters compared to 37% in 2020 they came from all quarters Union nonunion africanamerican Hispanic American Asian-American Arab ameran Muslim American we had everybody and it was beautiful and Brett tonight more good news for the president elect special counsel Jack Smith is now winding down his Federal prosecution against Trump and that’s because a doj has a long-standing policy of not Prosecuting sitting presidents most recently Trump actually came out and said that he would fire Smith within two seconds after taking office Brett ay live in West Palm Beach Florida Aisha thanks vice president kamla Harris says she is proud of the race she ran and the way she ran it and she says Democrats must accept the result of the election the defeated Democratic nominee declined to speak with supporters on Election night and waited until late this afternoon to make her first public comments since the votes were counted senior White House correspondent Jackie Hinrich is at Howard University in Washington tonight where Hara spoke a short time ago good evening Jackie good evening Brett the vice president thanked her supporters campaign staff and President Biden but in the day it took for her to put together that message Democrats began the postmortem on what went wrong from her choice of running mate to her policy position even how Democrats treated President Biden the outcome of this election is not what we wanted the light of America’s promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up the defeated vice president briefly choking up as some Democrats are owning up to the outcome Congressman Richie Torres saying the far-left quote has managed to alienate historic numbers of Latinos blacks Asians and Jews from the Democratic party with absurdities like defund the police or from the river to the sea or latinx I’m going to be very BL as Democrats we got to do some soul searching we’re getting a message from a lot of people that we’re not hearing them we do have a problem connecting with workingclass voters but others aren’t looking in the mirror he won on some fundamental issues of the economy and inflation uh and incumbent parties have been losing all over the world officials admitting the party platform is too liberal on social issues for Black and Latino men in States like Georgia and Arizona Harris also underperformed Biden among moderates Independents and Union households Democrats orchestrated a very public stab Fest a proverbial stabbing in the front of the sitting president of the United States of America and then didn’t use him in his hometown of Scranton Pennsylvania as the campaign reeled surrogates were left with no guidance all day on what to tell disappointed supporters or even donors if any one has seen Game of Thrones it was a red wedding it was a blood bath so everyone is in a State of Shock without any official line one spokesperson tweeted to friends do not ask what happened it’s not the day neither is Thanksgiving Harris closing out with this sometimes the fight takes a while that doesn’t mean we won’t win at the highest levels of the party the reflecting has turned to mudslinging Obama was among the forces that pushed Biden out of the race and now his former campaign manager who joined Harris’s team is blaming Biden for leaving his vice president too deep a hole to dig herself out of a Biden loyalist scoffed in response telling Fox that Biden beat Donald Trump something they couldn’t manage to do today the President Biden spoke to president-elect Trump congratulated him and invited him to meet at the White House Brad Jackie Hinrich at Howard University in DC Jackie thanks I am here to say while I concede this election I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign America we will never give up the fight for our democracy for the rule of law for Equal justice well the political postmortem is already started Politico says why kamla Harris lost the election she never sufficiently buried Biden’s ghost severely hamstringing her ability to sell voters on the idea that hers was the turn- the page candidacy it happened simply because Harris refused to make a clean break from the last four years when voters indicated that’s what they wanted worse she hesitated to draw a daylight between herself and her boss on Biden’s biggest vulnerability his stewardship over the economy with that let’s bring in our panel Fox News chief chief political analyst Brit Hume Kaylee mcknet Fox News analyst co-host of outnumbered Martha McCallum anchor and executive editor of the story with Martha McCallum and the FES co-host Jessica tarof okay you agree with that Brett no you don’t no I don’t I mean I think it I think that contributed to it but there was no way that the sitting vice president could easily detach herself from the record of administration of which she was a part and to hear her tell it and to hear Mr Biden tell it an integral part so I think you know an effort an effort to uh to toss aside Biden and his record would never have worked um I think that what we have here Brett is a case of of the democratic party under President Biden storing up for itself so much trouble uh from the economy to Afghanistan to the border to men and and women’s sports in locker rooms that it was like a time bomb it did not go off in 2022 during the midterms last last night it did Martha the fox new voter analysis really is interesting because the the comparison the contrast really between kamla Harris number Harris’s numbers and Biden’s numbers with women Suburban women and college graduate women they all went up you know it it for Trump with all of those groups and it was the driving force of what the Harris campaign was saying was going to change you know what I think everyone thought that if there was a younger candidate and in this case a female candidate she would naturally do better than older President Biden with all of these groups with college women um with younger voters but she fell short of where Biden was and and that is the perhaps insurmountable obstacle that Jen om Ali Dylan talks about that they couldn’t surmount they couldn’t you know o overcome which is I I think very striking but you know I think that what they’ve learned is that she didn’t have she never had a real message right if you ask people on the street what was her message I think they would say anti-donald Trump and abortion freedom and that was her other biggest thing here’s Senator Chris Coons on he’s kind of getting grips with it a big focus on the economy and inflation and frankly a lot of folks not recognizing the real progress that was made by President Biden and vice president Harris uh we’ve seen Landmark bipartisan legislation signed into law in the last couple of years that does important things that average Americans say they want reducing drug prices foring the price of insulin investing in infrastructure but they didn’t feel it and they didn’t give us credit for it and that’s the problem that Americans didn’t get it about the economic success Jessica well it’s your fault you didn’t M yeah this has been a problem though throughout the entire Administration I think from the podium to the surrogates that the message of the accomplishments of this Administration are not being communicated in a way that is resonant with the American public and this was a very much uh very much an election about what you can see the realities that we see around us whether that’s your Necessities that you’re buying on a grocery shelf and how you have felt over the last four years but them being more expensive what your perception is about the migrant crisis which is now in all of our cities and here in New York Chicago balar all over the place um and the fact that you are hearing a message from your leaders that is in congruous with your lived experience and this jocking about why we lost and saying we should have done this one go to the Al Smith dinner or go on Joe Rogan if she had lost by a small margin or with a specific group I would say okay let’s talk about making mistakes like that this was with everybody she underperformed every single category from where Joe Biden did this that chart the New York Times chart with the rede arrows they’re all they’re everywhere and they’re going in One Direction you can’t politic it that way yeah here’s somebody with the DNC trying another version one of the things that are top of mind is the choice of Tim Walls as a vice presidential candidate a lot of people are saying tonight that it should have been joshap frankly people have been saying that for once I know a lot of people are probably wondering tonight what would have happened had Shapiro been on the ticket I hate to say this but I’m not sure how much Tim Walls contributed to the ticket finally um so listen I think they’re trying to throw something against the all and it felt like on the campaign that that may be how it was run you know let’s try this if it doesn’t work let’s try something else and now I think the explanation of it there’s four different answers we have 24 hours ago I would have said yes the fact that you did not pick Josh Shapiro is a huge blunder and could cost you in a close race but that wasn’t your problem the problem you know in all due respect I Jessica I think it wasn’t a messaging problem I think it was a facts problem I mean this Administration was handed 2% inflation 2.4% and it went to 99.1% and Republicans would say that’s not by accident the American Rescue Plan kamla cast the tiebreaking vote the vice president cast a tiebreaking vote for the inflation reduction act setting off catastrophic inflation that’s before we get to the 84 executive it started under Trump okay spending contributed there’s no doubt about it I think that’s the sole responsibility not to mention the executive actions lifted the Obama or excuse me the Trump era immigration policies there’s a fact problem it’s not a messaging problem it’s a structural one and it runs deep um so the lot of talk about the concession and you know what was said and what not we do know that uh President Biden called uh former president uh the Trump campaign just put out statement President Joe Biden called president uh Donald J Trump and to congratulate him on his victory and extend an invitation to the White House to ensure a smooth transition between the current Administration and the incoming Administration president Trump looks forward to the meeting which will take place shortly and very much appreciated the call so there is that that’s a good sound that’s a good tone to have from both camps at this moment and it’s something I think the American people usually expect um I don’t think KLA Harris’s statement was bad um but it it didn’t strike the same the same tone it didn’t missed that all right more with the panel in a bit thank you here are some other headlines Lebanese Rescuers have pulled 30 bodies out of the rubble after a late night Israeli strike on an apartment building it remained unclear if there were any survivors or bodies still trapped under the rubble following Tuesday night’s air strike Ukraine’s defense minister says his country’s troops are for the first time engaging with North Korean units that were recently deployed to help Russia in the war senior Pentagon official telling Fox it began Monday in kers a region in Western Russia the official did not say if there were any North Korean or Ukrainian casualties hurricane Raphael made landfall in Cuba as a powerful Category 3 storm forecasters say it could bring life-threatening Storm surges wind and flash floods to Western swats of the island after it knocked out power and dumped rain on the Cayman Islands and Jamaica yesterday meantime stocks soared to record highs today the Dow liking the whole election thing surging 158 points the S&P 500 jumped 149 uh 146 rather NASDAQ gained 544 up next we will analyze how President elect Donald Trump managed to gain with his Hispanic voters and take down the Democratic blue wall and an update on the balance of power who will control the house remains an open question but even with races still open Republicans did take control of the US Senate welcome back to Special Report president-elect Trump leads vice president Harris right now nationally by more than 4 million votes if that popular vote holds up it’ll be the first time in 20 years a republican wins the popular vote and that margin of Victory came from gains in the Battleground States and Beyond and it really gives the now President elect and his team the basis for a pretty convincing argument that he has a big mandate tonight we take a closer look at the broad Coalition behind Trump’s historic White House comeback and let’s start in the state of New York vice president K Harris beat Trump by a little more than 11 points although he did not win the state he did close the gap from 2020 when he lost to President Joe Biden by more than 23 points we’ll put up the two side by side here if we Zoom in uh to Nassau County for example Nassau County you see that Trump actually beat Harris by almost five points in Nassau County he lost Biden there by almost 10 points and if we go over to the Bronx this little one right here you can see that that’s where Trump held that camp those campaign events two of them the visit with the barber shop with Fox he outperformed his 20120 results there by 11 points okay so let’s go to another state where we see some action on this front going back to the comparison to 2020 and that is Pennsylvania the biggest battleground of them all part of the Democrats blue wall uh the Trump team flipped the state from 2020 as you see here if you look at Philadelphia County uh down here by Philadelphia uh Harris underperformed where Biden was in 2020 the turnout the campaign was hoping for really never materialized in those Suburban counties now if we look at Bucks County just the North here uh you can see that that’s where I interviewed uh vice president Harris last month after her appearance with Republican Liz Cheney Trump appears to have flipped Bucks County red that’s the first time that will have happened since 1988 okay let’s go south now to Florida that also tells a different story when it comes to the popular vote and different places here President elect Trump outperforming his 2020 results by almost 5% uh Harris saw 5% less support than President Biden the margin of Victory and the early call really was an indication that Trump was going to have a good night Latino voters really played a role in the widening Edge in Florida if we look at Miami Dade County for example where about 68% of the residents are Hispanic Biden received more votes here in 2020 than Trump but Trump outperformed Harris by 11 points he is the first Republican Presidential cand to win Miami day County since 1988 another historic win okay let’s go out to Texas uh the biggest prize electorally uh for the Republicans and there you see Trump is the first Republican uh Presidential nominee if we go down to this border County right down here star County uh he is the first Republican to win since 1896 take that I mean that’s a lot of years in addition to the wide Coalition of Voters Court president-elect Trump will return to Washington with a republican majority in the Senate which is also a big deal senior Congressional correspondent Chad program is on Capitol Hill tonight with a preview of this new balance of power good evening Chad Breet good evening Republicans say there were major coils for president-elect Trump that’s why Republican Bernie Moreno handily defeated Ohio Democrat shered Brown Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell says the power of trump helped the GOP I I think it was a referendum on the current Administration in part people were just not happy with this Administration and the Democratic nominee obviously was a part of it it was a hell of a good day but there were limits to the Trump Juggernaut while Trump carried Wisconsin and Michigan Democrats won Senate races in both States the house is on a Razor’s Edge right now there are 200 GOP members and 181 Democrats 54 seats are outstanding One race is in northern Maine Democrat Jared golden is trying to fend off GOP Challenger Austin Tero any viable path to a win for my opponent has closed so I’m here to declare Victory I certainly prefer to be in the majority but we don’t know the outcome but GOP leaders say president-elect Trump could help them hold the house if you look at president Trump’s performance in carrying Senate candidates over the line there is no modern-day candidate of either party who turns out voters more effectively than president Trump now the performance of Vice President Harris likely cost Democrats the seats of Susan wild and Matt cartright in Pennsylvania House minority leader hakeim jeffre says the house quote is very much in play he touts potential seats to flip in Oregon and California it may be days before the house is called Brett Chad peram live on Capitol Hill Chad thank you up next our panel of pollsters and Consultants breaks down what really happened on Election Day America has given us an unprecedented and Powerful mandate winning the popular vote was very nice North Carolina I love these places Georgia Pennsylvania and Wisconsin we have a great feeling of love in this very large room now president-elect Trump reacting and the headlines are reacting to all of this Wall Street Journal stocks soar dollar jumps as Trump’s comeback reverberates through markets Trump’s win is his greatest Resurrection in a career of comebacks opinion Trump is president again and Democrats can blame Biden’s ego all kinds of thoughts about why but let’s get some analysis on the whole thing from our guest Democratic pollster Carly cooperman CEO of Shan Cooper and research and political consultant and co-founder and chairman of purple strategies Alex castios okay Carly um as we tick through these states this is the real clear politics average and then the actual vote it looks like pretty much across the board Trump was undercounted Again by two to three points that’s right Trump was undercounted again but I would actually argue that the polls were a lot closer this time than we’ve seen in previous Cycles the averages in all of those Battleground states were virtually tied these candidates going into the election and it looks like Trump is going to win them by about one to do points at least in the five states that have already been called and and this is well within the margin of error so I would actually argue that for the first time in three Cycles the polls in these states were actually pretty close to where things right and we had the caveat that if one candidate got one or two points that they could tip the whole thing which is exactly what happened that’s exactly right I’ve been asked today you know did you see a big red wave coming and I’m like this is what can happen when you have several States all of these states that can go by one or two points but if they’re going to go that way with one single candidate then the impact is just a really tremendous a much bigger win than yeah Alex I’ll give you credit uh you on this set said uh a a WAV lit was coming I didn’t think you went full wave but you went wave lit and uh you saw it because of the issues and what you were seeing and hearing from your folks yeah I think so I wasn’t courageous enough to say wave uh if I had I should have gone to Las Vegas and put some money on it but no when you look at the numbers Trump really did something remarkable it wasn’t just he won an election he’s initiated a realignment working class realignment of working class whites Hispanics and black Americans that’s a very different Republican party that we’ve seen and you could see that in the numbers with Independence in States like Pennsylvania were tilting to Trump increase in Republican registration and I think Donald Trump delivered on that New York Times Carly uh the quote Donald Trump told Americans exactly what he planned to do and when asked to give him power to do all of that the voters said yes this was a conquering of the nation not by force but with a permission slip now America stands on the precipice of an authoritarian style of governance never before seen and it’s 248e history kind of overwritten there but there’s a lot of people saying trying to interpret who the Trump voter was and what they cared about can’t we say that they cared about the economy and immigration and they’re just not into the woke stuff I think it’s absolutely we’re hearing from voters that they are unhappy with the cost of living they care about the economy inflation is problematic and it really comes down to how expensive their day-to-day life is I also think one of the things that came out from the exit polls is that what voters said they wanted in a presidential candidate or president was a strong leader and someone that was going to bring about change and Trump won among voters who said those things by 66% 75% of the voters supported him on those marks and so clearly kamla Harris was not able to embrace and and convince voters that she was the Agent of Change they are unhappy with how things are right now and believe Trump’s message that things were better when he was president Alex his numbers went up with Suburban women versus Harris instead of Biden up with um blacks Hispanics to your point uh and and different wages and it sounded in the exit polls and the uh R Fox News voter analysis that they were saying listen to us we’re telling you what we want and that’s why the New York Times story is is blaming the voters is exactly the wrong analysis of this thing and what shocked me today is that kamla Harris in her alleged concession speech did the same thing uh she said this was the most anti-c concession concession speech I’ve ever heard because it was anti- Unity what she did she got up there and said listen we’re going to keep fighting for exactly the same things we fought for in this election the campaign’s going to go on uh it was a they trying to cement the division in the country and what that’s saying is voters you just didn’t get it our wonderful ideas are superior to yours and we’re going to keep this country divided that’s terrible politics for the Democratic party after a big loss like this sometimes you see parties reduce themselves to their core and you get in primary fights where the candidates try to see who’s the purest it just shrinks them and makes them negative and I think that’s what’s happening to the Democratic party now it’s a big mistake but not only that it’s terrible for the country yeah Bernie Sanders put out a scathing uh letter a statement at meantime very quickly Carly Jeff Bezos tweet big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th president on extraordinary political comeback and decisive Victory no nation has bigger opportunities wishing Donald Trump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love this is a businessman one of the biggest and the markets loved what they saw last night today right well I’m not surprised to see bezo said that after notoriously The Washington Post withdrew its endorsement so obviously people are making decisions based on business sense and Donald Trump made it very clear that he’s going to take revenge around the people that did not um support him so I understand why Bezos is doing this yeah we’ll see what happens uh Alex Carly thanks so much thank you up next we look at what happened with the issue of abortion which was on almost a dozen State ballots and later our panel Recaps election night and where we go from here [Music] abortion was a big issue in many locations around the country it was on the ballot uh in nearly a dozen states correspondent Mark Meredith has a Roundup tonight of this issue good evening Mark BR good evening to you voters in 10 states chose whether abortions should be limited or protected in their communities the results were mixed even though Democrats made abortion one of if not their biggest issue this entire cycle in seven states last night voters approved efforts to either constitutionally protect abortion or reject previously imposed limits on the procedure Planned Parenthood political action group wrote Banning abortion and restricting access to essential care is a losing issue voters chose freedom but in three states Florida Nebraska and South Dakota voters chose to leave abortion restrictions in place pro-life leaders telling Fox tonight they plan to spend more time and energy getting voters to enact similar restrictions I definitely see new ballot initiatives ahead I think we now have got our footing we know what to do we know that Governors have to be in charge of and the legislatures in their state have to own that and we will need to go back to some states according to our Fox News voter analysis abortion was among the top three issues on voters Minds this cycle but it ranked far below the economy and immigration now during the campaign president-elect Trump vowed not to sign a National Abortion ban even if Congress were to pass one but with conservatives seeing gains in Congress it’s possible some lawmakers may try to bring up the issue again for debate Brett okay mark thank you let’s take a look at how election night was covered in the media Fox news media analyst host of Fox’s media Buzz Howard Curts has our story it’s no secret that most of the media rooted for kamla Harris and relentlessly criticize Donald Trump are there enough checks and balances in place to protect democracy if Trump gets in there and behaves like a fascist dictator so when the president-elect not only Cruis to Victory but appears to have won the popular vote much of the coverage was grudging or Worse the New York Times America hires a strongman huff post the nightmare Returns what concerns me is I don’t think he cares about really solving problems except for the most expedient one of not going to jail that message obviously was not enough to get enough white women to vote um for vice president Harris a fellow woman I can’t help but wonder if the American people have given up on Democracy others tried to grapple with the strong message sent by voters fundamentally this is a rejection of the democratic party my party KLA Harris and a left-wing ideology we’re all going to have to wake up tomorrow morning and work like hell to move the world to the place that we prefer it to be and some blame the media for exaggerating Harris’s chances I also feel like this election as we sit here and pour over this tonight is something of an indictment of the political information complex I mean we’ve been sitting around here for the last couple of weeks and the story that was portrayed was not true if the Press once rationalized Trump’s 2016 win as a fluke the same can’t be said for yesterday’s Triumph when he made gains with black and Latino voters Trump often gave his detractor F from insulting Harris’s intelligence to talk of Retribution to ripping the news business which he called the enemy of the people but the obsessive coverage of his four indictments and New York conviction and quickly moving on from two assassination attempts reminded many voters of why they distrust the Press it’s hardly unusual for journalists relying on Floyd polls to botch campaign predictions the larger problem here is that the media misjudged the country and need to Grapple with how that happened BR definitely Howe thanks up next so what now our panel comes back has post-election breakdown and then with po politicians fighting like cats and dogs some voters well they just had a welcome surprise look at mam it hi we at the tell we get to high mode we to hi to we at by by to we at to byebye fore Mo donee done number we M we done for
