There are two ways to look at this. The first is that Garland issued "threat tags" to be assigned to parents who were upset with the decision to have the schools shut down. The second is that people who work under him instituted these policies without his approval. In either situation, he is the person in charge and responsible for whether he or some other people did this. The teachers union has too much power to begin with so they should not be the body to make these decisions…they are not medical doctors. Garlands testimony is very hard to believe as in either case his only excuse is "he knows nothing about this". The final senario is that he should know how this happened and fire everyone under him who had a role in this shut down. If he didn't truly know, then he should have stepped down after firing the head of the teachers union !! The teachers union just as much at fault for this problem !!

I realize the AG is appointed by the Senate and I he is recommended by the president. This always sounded kind of goofy to me.
