Happy New Year and wow 6 years already and still you continue to make delicious 😋 food OMG I was away for a while but I'm so happy to see what you have prepared for this video and my mouth is watering great video
Our reunions were always these foods
Field peas, black eyed peas, hot water corn bread, blueberry yumyum, Italian wedding cake, roast a whole pig, devilled eggs—dozens of them, fried chicken, turkey salad for my grandaddy cuz he loved it, garbage can (new) full of chopped collards and turnip greens
Tables groaning full of food all weekend.
We just ate n talked for 3 solid days while kids played and had slip n slides (held on a farm so had whole huge yards n house)
I miss those and the holidays gatherings before that when we wee little. Everybody’s gone now except for some older ones who can’t. My gen doesn’t have any interest in doing it w/o older ones involved. Plus we would have to rent a venue instead of being homey (and three days long!) too many live too far to come for that small of a thing. 10 kids, dozens of cousins and they’re grandparents now…
Pit master! I had to comeback and share again epic meal…! I mean epic…! You be throwing down bro keep bringing your food content! My mouth is watering…….!
I've eaten everything that you've served up today… your chitlins look much better than what I had…. and yeah, no New Years comes and goes without black-eyed peas … thanks for sharing your childhood memories with us.
I've had all the food on your table. My grandmother cooked her hog maws separately from the chitlins, so you could decide if you wanted to eat them. Thanks for sharing this meal.😊
I could make a meal off of that cornbread and those collards! Everything looks great! Thanks for the awesome content!
Love I cook my chitterlings and hog maws, just the way you did yours. Love it.
Got a little teary eyed watching this one since my mom and aunts aren’t hear anymore they used to cook all of these goodies, Thanks brother another excellent cook.
Thanks for chitterlings recipe. Can you do pork neckbands recipe
Yea bro you puts it down. Luv it
Lol,dont know where you get those big bay leaves from ,but they are humongous.. everything you fixed i could eat every day …😊😊😊😂
Looks Delicious..I want some of it ALL..
A wonderful tradition!!!!
Yes these was the meal back in my days I’m a 70’s baby we grow up where you didn’t have a choice in what you ate.. you ate what was cooked or you didn’t eat at all
Love this preparation! Hell when don’t I love it on this channel. Throwing pork in the oven with a white wine bath is completely underrated. My grandmother used to cook sausage that way and it always comes amazing.
Now that's some good eating right there ! Down home soulful cooking.
Hopefully you can show us how to clean the already clean chitterlings. Thank you for that meal, I'm full already.
Man! This could be my New Year’s meal. Once a year only because it is special to me from my family New Year celebrations. Fried chicken too. lol. And potato salad. The only drawback is I couldn’t eat much of any one thing. And the cornbread! Wow, I have never seen this recipe. But really, I couldn’t eat but one delicious bite. Kudos
As a non pork consumer I wouldn't eat any of this, but it's soooo relaxing watching you prepare and eat it because it is your family's traditional meal.
I ❤love chitterlings nerve seen it serve with rice.
Yummy ❤❤
I love this !!! I miss chitlins and cracklin bread
My husband and I love watching you. You keep us guessing. We cook our food a lot differently than you, so your add-on ingredients and style of cooking are always a surprise to us. 😂 "Spot on!"😂
Looks Great I Want Some
Oh, man! What a feast of southern cooking! While you're southern, I'm more european, and grew up with my grandma making kielbasa, pierogis, cabbage rolls, borscht soup, etc in Brooklyn. Now that I'm in Phoenix, I get the privilege of experiencing the vast cultures and cooking styles here. It's good to explore, while keeping home recipes and memories close. Real nice sentimental video and thank you for sharing. Cheers! Pete in Arizona – KI7LIL
Me and wife we love your videos and God continue to bless you and your family
I'm going to be a bit controversial here. I really wonder if our original descendants would really be happy with us eating what we call traditional soul food. Remember this isn't the food they chose but the food that was thrown to them. I always wondered if they could see us and talk to us would they be yelling at us "STOP IT, EAT LIKE THE KINGS AND QUEENS YOU ARE!!"
I'm from Texas grew up country so I no where you coming from I old school trying to keep young kids in touch with old school
Monster Bay leaf 🍃 😮
Amen! The Lord is great! I don’t care what you cook…I love watching your videos! I love when you share your family history behind the recipes…it helps those of not familiar to become appreciative of the tradition. I love your show…you are the best❣️🤗
Eye c u bro! 🥷😋🙏
What would happen if you added some honey to that corn bread batter? It looked incredible! 😋👍🏻
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! 🤗That is authentic to the bone! Haven't had food like that in many years! My husband doesn't like the smell of chitterlings so I never had the pleasure of cooking it. Plus we don't eat pork any more (although I sneak bacon now & then) and the pickled onions accompanying it and hot sauce… 👍🏽! (Chef's kiss) Not everyone can make flavorful chitterlings but my maternal gma made all that and home made hog head cheese magnificent! Thanks so much for sharing this southern heritage American meal! Dee, NY

Well done 👏👏👏👏👏. You brought me back to my childhood with those dishes. Our hot sauce of choice was “Franks”. That was Deep South cooking at its finest. 👏👏👏👏👏👊
